I thought I’d start a diary page to show you what I’m doing while the whole country is now staying at home because of the Coronavirus.
I must say life hasn’t changed a lot for us, because we have a very quiet life in and around the marina.
However it’s lovely how people now shout across the canal to us and have a chat while I’m outside playing. Everyone is being so kind.
The doctors and nurses have been amazing and working so hard. We have family that are doctors and just want to say a big THANK YOU to all of them. If you check out my
Facebook page you can hear everyone at the marina clapping and celebrating the marvelous NHS.
Enjoy my photos as I add them each day.
REMEMBER keep safe and well! Big woofs Chico.
Come outside Jan, it’s lovely and sunny! Oh no I think Jan’s going to start Spring cleaning Wah Wah Chugg! Yep, I was right, this back cover is looking much cleaner now. How can I help I wonder? Feeling a bit pooped this morning after all that cleaning yesterday so having quite snooze today. Oh Jan found an old ball when she was sorting out, it’s great! I’ll have to be quick! If Jan catches me digging I’ll be in big trouble! Where have all the boats gone? No one is chugging past anymore. It’s sooo quiet! Every Thursday night we all come outside and clap and cheer the NHS and Essential workers. Thank you!
Absolutely pooped after all that exercise. I’m just not used to it any more. My first walk for over a week because Jan’s had to be isolated and look what’s happened with our new footbridge over the canal. WOW! Met two of my little friends in the woods. It was great to see them. The towpath has dried up in the last week! A boat at our marine had a rainbow in the window! It was lovely to meet friends again.
Look at our new footbridge across the canal! It’s nearly ready hurrah! Now, how can I help with this jigsaw? The lambs are back again. They’re so cute! Jan got the saucepans out again on Thursday to cheer for the NHS. To watch the film from last week click here. Happy Easter everyone, here’s Jan’s Easter tree.
On the day the new footbridge came they closed our road and I could walk down the middle! Look at the enormous crane they used to lift the bridge. It was so exciting! The new bridge is now in place and looks beautiful! I can’t wait to use it.
I met Luke when I was on a walk the other day. I’ve made a little film of us chasing each other. It should be on my Vimeo channel very soon. We went to see Zig Zag and he tried to show me how to eat grass. I quite like eating grass but only sometimes. We also saw Sunny. It was his 13th birthday! Happy birthday Sunny. Sunny got dressed up for us in a special harness that was almost 200 years old! Doesn’t he look smart! I love it when we Skype the family, now we can’t be together. I even have a chat with Ethel. Can you see her in the picture?
On my walk the other day I met Sadie, she’s another one of my friends from the village. Jan dressed me up in my new red, white and blue scarf for the celebrations of VE Day. Don’t I look smart! Jan decorated the garden with red, white a blue. Jan even made one of her famous trifles. It was really yummy! Kerri decorated her working boat from the war to celebrate too. Jan saw some of the children, that she knows from the village, on the towpath going for a walk and they gave me a wave.
Mike took the windows out because they were leaking. I hope it doesn’t rain! Oh, now I see why he’s put plastic up at the windows. It was very flappy in the night when the wind blew and I got a bit scared! Thank goodness I could go and get in bed with Jan and Mike. We had to clean the windows and paint the boat, well I say we but I only watched. Painting is difficult when you’ve got paws. Hello! It was really strange being able to poke my head into the boat. When the paint dried Mike put the windows back in and I helped by telling him which screw to ue. Yep that’s a good one Mike! Look how beautiful Wah Wah Chugg looks now! I saw Ann the other day. She always gives me treats when we pass her boat. Thanks Ann! Jan when are we going for a walk past Ann again?
